We are now seeking engaged nurses to join our team in pre- and postoperative care at the Anesthesiology Clinic in Växjö – a place where expertise, compassion, and advanced care come together. Here you will help create security for patients throughout their surgical journey – before, during, and after the procedure.

DUTIES
As a nurse in our pre- and postoperative care, you are central to the patient's surgical journey. You create security and safety for patients both before and after the procedure, whether it involves day surgery or extended care periods. Your work includes:
• Preoperative preparation: Assess health status, inform and prepare day surgery patients.
• Postoperative care: Provide qualified nursing, pain relief, and support for both inpatient and day surgery patients.
• Monitoring and assessment: Monitor vital parameters, early detect and respond to complications caused by procedures or anesthesia.
• Medication management: Administer medications and treatments according to prescription with a focus on patient safety.
• Documentation & reporting: Carefully document care measures and report changes in patient condition.
• Interprofessional collaboration: Work closely with physicians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare staff to create a holistic view and a safe care plan.
We offer a comprehensive introduction with individual training and close support in your new role. Work hours are primarily Monday through Friday, but weekend duty may occur.
QUALIFICATIONS
