We are now looking for an Android Platform Software Engineer for our client with at least one year of professional experience in Android and AOSP development. Here you will have the opportunity to work with the development of advanced software in a technically driven environment, where you can be part of developing solutions used in real products. Working as an Android Software Engineer for our client Our client is a technology-driven company that develops advanced products and solutions where software plays a central role. Here you work together with competent colleagues in an environment where innovation, quality, and technical development are in focus. As an Android Platform Software Engineer, you will become part of a development team working with the Android platform and platform-level software. You will have the opportunity to work with both new development and further development, from implementation and integration to testing and continuous improvements. The role involves work with Android Framework, system services, and integration of native C++ components. You will also contribute to design and code reviews, work with CI/CD, and have close collaboration with other development teams and projects. You will also have the opportunity to work with Android OS upgrades and platform migrations, where you ensure that solutions function well over time and are compatible with new versions and technical requirements. This is a consulting assignment via Nexer Tech Talent with a plan for transition to a direct employment with our client provided that the collaboration works well for both parties. The role is located in Gothenburg. We are looking for you who Have at least 1 year of professional experience in Android and/or AOSP development Have a master's degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent Have strong knowledge of C++ as well as experience with Android Framework and HAL development Have experience with Android OS upgrades, API changes, or platform migrations Have experience with Python, Jenkins, and CI/CD Have very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written It is highly meriting if you have experience with Kotlin or Unity, as well as preferably with, for example, AOSP's build system, Linux Kernel, or integration with hardware platforms. As a person, you are curious, solution-oriented, and enjoy tackling complex technical questions. You like to understand how different parts connect and are happy to take overall responsibility for your tasks. You are self-driven in your work, but also appreciate collaborating and exchanging knowledge with others. You dare to challenge existing solutions and see opportunities to find smarter and more efficient ways of working.
