About the position You will work in the Planning and Analysis department, which works closely with hospital leadership. The team handles strategic, tactical, and operational matters at the hospital-wide level – both by driving and developing data-driven processes and by supporting larger projects. The work tasks are varied and include: - deep dives into Karolinska's data warehouse to work together with the IT department to make data available that meets healthcare operations' monitoring needs - developing tools and shared processes so that healthcare operations can plan their activities – Karolinska's resources should be used efficiently while meeting patients' needs - preparing decision-making materials for hospital leadership with questions ranging from analyzing operating room turnover times to contract negotiations What is common to all work tasks is that our team has solid expertise in Karolinska's patient data and how data can be used to lead and manage the hospital. Work is carried out in the forms deemed most suitable for the specific task, individually and/or in various group configurations including project form (various roles and work arrangements are possible, including project leadership). In collaboration with healthcare operations, you will use your educational and technical skills to provide healthcare with data and decision-making materials and to structure and develop the hospital's data-driven management. The position is a temporary contract for 1 year with the possibility of extension. We are looking for you who - can effectively produce and conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses and communicate results in a clear and structured manner - can describe your reasoning in a clear and educational way, both verbally and in writing, actively adapting to different audiences - enjoy working in a dynamic environment with a high pace and varied work tasks - are organized, thorough, attentive, and solution-oriented We will place great emphasis on personal qualities. Qualifications Requirements: - Relevant academic education such as systems science, civil engineer, business economist, or similar - Excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written - Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written Merits: - Experience in operations or process development and how data is produced - Good knowledge of SQL and at least one relevant programming language, for example Python or R - Experience with predictive analytics, forecast models, simulation, or scenario analysis - Experience with basic statistical modeling and/or data modeling - Experience with causal analysis, optimization, machine learning, or time series analysis - Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau - Previous experience with requirements and needs analysis or other IT-related role - Experience working close to senior management, steering groups, or strategic decision forums About the recruitment process Selection and interviews may take place continuously during the application period.
