Do you want to contribute to the transition of the transport sector and the development of tomorrow's energy system? At the Swedish Energy Agency, you'll work with qualified analyses and investigations that contribute to Sweden's energy and climate policy. Your Tasks – Contributing to Sustainable Transport for the Future As an analyst, you'll work with qualified analyses and investigations that contribute to knowledge bases and decision support within the transport and energy sectors. The work includes, among other things, analyses of the transport sector's energy transition, electrification, biofuels, charging infrastructure, and the interplay between the transport sector and other parts of the energy system. An important part of the role is to monitor the development of the EU's energy and transport policy. You'll analyze new regulations, prepare decision-making support materials, and assess how changes affect the transport sector's development and energy transition. You independently prepare knowledge bases, reports, analyses, and decision support, and collaborate closely with colleagues and external actors. You compile and communicate results, conclusions, and recommendations to different target audiences, both orally and in writing, in Swedish and when needed in English. The Swedish Energy Agency has several assignments in the transport sector, including acting as a supporting authority for initiatives that contribute to the transport sector's energy and climate transition, coordinating charging infrastructure, and serving as a knowledge authority. You will therefore contribute to collaboration, knowledge building, and development in these areas. As an analyst, you'll actively contribute to the agency's investigations, analyses, and projects. You'll bring expertise within your area of operation, and the work takes place in both national and international contexts, which means travel may occur. Qualifications We're looking for someone with: Academic education relevant to the position, such as a civil engineer degree, economics degree, political science, or other education we consider equivalent. Several years of experience with analysis and monitoring of policies, policy instruments, and strategic initiatives within the transport sector. Good knowledge of policy development and strategic issues related to the transport sector's transition. Good ability to compile, analyze, and communicate complex information. Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. Good knowledge of modern IT systems and programs. It is a merit if you have: Experience with qualified analysis or investigation work within energy, climate, or environmental areas. Good understanding of how different parts of the energy system interact and interact with the rest of society. Knowledge of Swedish and European energy policy. Experience leading investigations. Work experience from a government agency or other public sector organization. To succeed in the role, you need to have very good analytical skills and be able to approach complex issues from a systems perspective, have the ability to take initiative, start activities, and achieve results. You have good problem-solving skills and are comfortable with complex issues where you break down problems into smaller parts and find solutions to challenges. You are organized, quality-conscious, and good at translating extensive information into clear conclusions and recommendations. Similarly, you enjoy collaborating with others and create good relationships both internally and externally. You are driven and contribute to developing operations within your area. About Us Energy Systems and Market is part of the Systems Analysis and Statistics Department and works with central issues related to energy system development and energy transition. We're responsible for and carry out government assignments, which means we prepare analyses, knowledge bases, and recommendations that contribute to government decisions and the development of tomorrow's energy and transport systems.
