The Role of Ambulance Paramedic As an ambulance paramedic, you have a varied job where no two days are the same. You work together with a nurse who has basic or specialist training. Together you assess and treat the patient at home, at the scene of an accident, and during transport to a care facility. You also perform patient transfers between different care facilities, both within and outside the county. As a member of the ambulance care team, you have access to advanced equipment such as defibrillators, mechanical chest compression devices, and a range of medications. In your daily work, you meet all types of patients of varying ages, and your work involves providing good and safe patient care based on the patient's needs. The position we are offering is a full-time temporary contract for 6 months with the possibility of extension. The desired start date is October 26 or by agreement. Your Future Workplace Ambulance care has developed significantly in recent years and now offers increasingly advanced care even before the ambulance arrives at the hospital. In Region Jönköping County, there are 24 ambulances including one primary care ambulance distributed across twelve stations in the county. Ambulance care consists of three ambulance zones, of which the northern zone is one of them and has stations in Jönköping and Habo. You have at least two years of experience in somatic healthcare, and ambulance care experience is a merit. You are an experienced driver with a driver's license of at least category B and emergency response driver training. It is advantageous if you also have C1 category driver's license. It is important that you have good physical fitness and physical work capacity, both for your own and the patient's sake. We would like you to be familiar with the Rakel communication system. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Working in ambulance care also requires personal maturity and good judgment. It is important that you feel confident making your own decisions in your work. The work also involves close teamwork, so you need to have a good ability to collaborate with other people and communicate clearly. When you meet patients and their families, it is also very important that you have an empathetic manner and good interpersonal skills.
