For summer 2027, we're looking for ambulance nurses and nurses who want to work with us in the ambulance service in Region Örebro län. That's why you'll receive an introduction that prepares you for work in the service, including training and supervised on-the-job shadowing. Duties As a nurse in ambulance operations, you work in a team and meet patients of all ages in many different care situations. The assignment includes assessment, treatment, and care, as well as working with the patient and other healthcare contacts to ensure the right care at the right time. The work takes place in varying environments, tempos, and situations and demands high medical competence, judgment, and collaboration. You work closely with your colleagues and cooperate with other parts of healthcare. The employment is a summer temporary position during summer 2027. For some applicants, there may be an opportunity for earlier employment and/or continued employment after summer. Such employment requires at least one year of clinical experience as a licensed nurse. In other cases, the introduction occurs as hourly-paid work before the summer temporary position begins. Working hours vary based on placement and operational needs and include day, evening, night, and weekend shifts. Qualifications We're looking for you who is a licensed nurse or specialist nurse with an ambulance care focus. We welcome both those with previous nursing experience and those who are newly graduated or will complete their nursing degree before employment begins. A driver's license is required, as well as swimming ability (200 meters) and a passing result on the tests included in our recruitment process. Ambulance care is conducted in teams, and it's essential that you appreciate and value teamwork. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and are looking for someone who is responsible, collaboration-oriented, and able to maintain calm and judgment even when situations change. We're also looking for someone who is curious, wants to develop, and takes responsibility for asking questions, seeking support, and continuing to learn. Application To work as a nurse in the ambulance service, you need to complete and pass all components of our recruitment process. The recruitment process includes interview, fitness test, and driving test. To be eligible for a summer temporary position, you must be able to attend one of our test days: October 14, November 4, November 5, November 26, December 9, December 11, December 16. Your application should contain a CV and cover letter as well as relevant certificates, grades, and diplomas. About the Service The ambulance service in Region Örebro län comprises emergency ambulance, urgent care ambulance, and Regional Nurses at the emergency dispatch center (RSLC). Operations are distributed across the region with main stations in Örebro, Karlskoga, and Lindesberg, plus associated satellite stations.
