Ambulance care is seeking you to provide advanced prehospital care where medical treatment is initiated with the patient during acute illness or accident.

Our large and diverse assignment gives you as an ambulance nurse excellent opportunities to develop in your profession. In the Vemdalen area, we have close collaboration with medical clinics located near the ski facilities during the winter season. The medical clinics are staffed by doctors and nurses. In addition to close collaboration with the medical clinics, you will also work with ski patrol, ambulance helicopter, rescue services, and mountain rescue.
During the winter season, many tourists visit the area to enjoy the mountains through skiing, snowmobiling, etc. This means the ambulance handles a lot of trauma and winter sports-related injuries such as fractures. Ambulance care in Jämtland Härjedalen consists of 11 ambulance stations and a helicopter base. The region has 12 around-the-clock staffed ambulances, 1 daytime vehicle, and one around-the-clock staffed helicopter.

As an ambulance nurse, you perform common work tasks within ambulance care.
For us, it is important to provide adequate training to our employees. Initially, we offer you an introduction program tailored to your previous experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking you as a registered nurse, preferably with specialist training in ambulance care. We would like you to have experience working in ambulance care previously.
A driver's license with at least category B is a requirement, but we would prefer category C. As an ambulance nurse, you also need to have emergency response driver training.
We will place great emphasis on personal suitability where a flexible approach to working under changed circumstances and at varying work pace, as well as the ability to work independently, prioritize between different tasks, and make your own decisions are important aspects.
Large demands are placed on medical knowledge, problem-solving ability, and physical endurance as fitness tests occur at recruitment and thereafter every third year.
As an ambulance nurse, you are responsible and confident in your professional role. Your work approach is characterized by having the patient and patient safety in focus. With an ethical approach, you have good patient interactions.
