We are seeking teaching assistants for a limited-time position at the Department of Science and Technology during the fall semester 2026. Background We are looking for teaching assistants who can supervise laboratory sessions in the following courses during the second study period of the fall semester (weeks 45-03), within the Computer Science Unit at the Department of Science and Technology. Real-Time Programming (Engineering year 2) Database Technology (Engineering year 2 and Civilingenjör year 2) Digital Electronics (Engineering year 2) Basic Programming (Python programming, Civilingenjör in Industrial Economics year 1 and Engineering program in Mechanical Engineering year 3) Duties As a teaching assistant, you will supervise scheduled laboratory sessions, which includes helping students with relevant tools and methods, guiding them in solving laboratory assignments, grading submitted work, and reporting to the course coordinator. Qualifications To be eligible for a teaching assistant position, you must be admitted to a university program at the basic or advanced level. Additionally, we prefer that you have studied computer science and are approved in the course you will be teaching or an equivalent course. We are looking for someone who has shown interest in education and student matters during their studies. We emphasize personal qualities such as your ability to work independently, strong collaboration skills, customer-oriented approach, and ability to prioritize tasks. Information The position comprises 5–20%, depending on the number of groups and teaching hours, for approximately 3 months. Salary is provided according to local collective agreement. Teaching assistants may be employed for one year at a time. The total employment period for a teaching assistant may not exceed three years.
