About the Workplace The Department of Computer Science, LTH, is seeking approximately 80 teaching assistants for Reading Period 2 2026. Job Responsibilities Teaching assistants will primarily help with instruction in the department's courses and assist course coordinators with related tasks, such as grading assignments, leading review sessions, course development, helping install course software environments on students' personal computers, and other administrative work as needed. Teaching assistants will be engaged in the following courses: EDAA01-Programming Advanced Course EDAA30-Programming in Java Continuation Course (Helsingborg) EDAA81-Programming Technique in Python, Introductory Course (Helsingborg) EDAB05-Programming Introductory Course (Scala for D and C) EDAA80/TFRE30-Programming Technique Introductory Course (Python for V and independent) EDAA85/EDAA80-Programming Technique Introductory Course (Python for E, Pi, and Brand) EDAF60-Object-Oriented Modeling and Design (exam grading) EDAG01-Efficient C EDAN96-Applied Machine Learning ETSF25-Business-Driven Software Development Teaching assistants may also be engaged in other courses if needed. Working hours are scheduled during instruction time, Monday-Friday between 08:00-17:00. Fixed times are set for each course. Qualifications To be eligible for employment as a teaching assistant, you must be admitted to a degree program at the bachelor's or master's level at the faculty (or related subjects for shared departments). Your degree may not have been completed. Requirements for employment: Good grades from computer science courses. Excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both written and spoken. Outgoing personality, good at initiating contact with others, and strong teaching ability. Merits for employment: Previous teaching experience as a teaching assistant in computer science, hourly employed teaching assistant, or other pedagogical experience. Completed pedagogical course for teaching assistants or other pedagogical training. Other courses in subjects relevant to the course you wish to work as a teaching assistant in. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Consideration will be given to good collaboration skills and how your experience and competence are assessed to complement and strengthen instruction within the department. Additional Information The department is seeking approximately 80 teaching assistants for Reading Period 2 2026. Employment is limited-term from November 2, 2026 to December 20, 2026 or by agreement. The extent can vary up to a maximum of 50% by agreement. Employment must not negatively affect the assistant's studies. Regulations regarding educational employment as a teaching assistant are found in the Higher Education Ordinance (SFS 2017:284), Chapter 5, Sections 8-12.
