Description: The research project investigates how infants direct their attention to talking faces during real social interaction with their caregivers, using infant-friendly "live" eye-tracking measurement. The study examines how this visual attention develops during infancy and how it relates to later language and socio-communicative development. Job Responsibilities: The position includes administrative and support tasks primarily linked to a research project at Uppsala Baby Lab. The work will be conducted in close collaboration with the project's researchers and primarily involves supporting the study implementation within the research group DiVE Lab (project leader: Prof. Terje Falck-Ytter). Examples of tasks that may be included in the position: Participation in the pilot study and testing of study procedures Contact with parents of children participating in the study Booking and scheduling of test visits Information to participating families about the study and handling of informed consent Data collection with infants and their caregivers at Uppsala Baby Lab, including conducting "live" eye-tracking measurement Practical support and documentation in connection with the implementation of test sessions Other support tasks related to the research project may also become relevant Qualifications: To be employed as a Research Assistant, you must be admitted to education at the basic or advanced level. For this particular position, the applicant must have ongoing studies in psychology at Uppsala University. The applicant must also demonstrate good skills in expressing themselves in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. Good collaboration skills are a requirement, as the work will be conducted in close collaboration with the researcher responsible for the project. Other Merits: The position requires the ability to work independently, carefully, and reliably, as well as good communication skills with families with children. A strong interest and high motivation to work with infants and their caregivers is very beneficial. Experience working with infants or young children is particularly valuable, as is experience with data collection in research, experimental work, or eye-tracking measurement. The current employment runs for 6 months, after which the employment may be renewed for an additional 5 months if needed. The position is 20%. Desired start date October 1, 2026 (or by agreement). Work location: Uppsala.
