We are now seeking approximately eight teaching assistants to work as instructors in the course TATB04 Introductory Mathematical Analysis.

Your Tasks
As an instructor in the Introductory Mathematical Analysis course, you will be an additional resource alongside the course lecturer. Your duties during an instruction session in Introductory Mathematical Analysis are to answer questions from students and manage certain administrative tasks related to the individual assignments included in the course. After the session, you are responsible for grading the mandatory assignments and the documentation related to them.
Your Qualifications
To be employed as a teaching assistant, you must be admitted to a higher education program at the undergraduate or advanced level.
You must have excellent grades in the course TATB04 (or one of TATB01 and TATB02) and must have completed other mathematics courses included in your program (up to your current year) in a meritorious manner.
Experience with your own well-functioning teaching is advantageous.
It is advantageous if you are a student at LiU.
Your Workplace
You will work at the Division of Analysis and Didactics (ANDI), Department of Mathematics (MAI). Mathematics is of fundamental importance to modern natural sciences and technology, but it is also its own scientific field. Research and education at the department cover a broad spectrum of areas, from pure mathematics and internally generated research questions to applications in technology, natural science, economics, and subject didactics. At ANDI, both intra-scientific and applied research is conducted in various branches of analysis as well as mathematics didactics.

About the Position
The employment is time-limited and begins November 4, 2026, and continues throughout the entire study period. You will work approximately 35 percent of a full-time position.
Employment as a teaching assistant can never exceed 50 percent of a full-time position.
Employment as a teaching assistant is governed by Chapter 5 of the Higher Education Ordinance.
