Would you like to work with communication, outreach activities, and events connected to Swedish development research? We intend to hire a student assistant to work with the secretariat for Swedish Development Research Network (SweDev).
About the position
SweDev was founded in 2019 and is a network that connects development researchers throughout Sweden, with the purpose of strengthening collaboration within the research community and increasing interaction between researchers and practitioners.
Work tasks for a student assistant may include teaching, administration, or participation in research or artistic research. For this position, the work tasks will primarily involve assisting SweDev's secretariat with maintaining the network's website, communicating within and outside the network, participating in organizing and disseminating information about events, monitoring relevant events and new research findings, and participating in SweDev's recurring meetings of the executive board and steering committee.
About you
To be hired as a student assistant, you must be admitted to a higher education program at the basic or advanced level.
We are looking for someone who is communicative, independent, and organized, with good collaboration skills and an interest in working with digital communication.
We want you to have:
experience in development studies, environmental science, or political science (bachelor's degree or ongoing master's studies)
knowledge of Swedish development cooperation and development research
excellent English skills, both spoken and written.
It is advantageous if you have:
experience managing social media and/or a website for an organization, or similar experience
previous experience working within the development sector, in Sweden or abroad
interest in development research and SweDev's work.

From autumn 2026, SweDev's secretariat will be located at https://liu.se/organisation/liu/tema – Environmental Change and Centre for Climate Policy Research (CSPR) at Linköping University.

About the employment
The employment is limited-term with a scope of 20 percent of full-time for up to one year.
Start date: By agreement.
Employment as a student assistant is regulated in Chapter 5 of the Higher Education Ordinance.
