We are now seeking a youth medicine-engaged physician with a strong interest in both medical and psychosocial issues for the Youth Clinic in Helsingborg. Together, we create a safe place where young people dare to ask questions, receive support, and grow. The role suits you if you appreciate medical assessments but also want to work more preventatively, relationally, and long-term with young people. Here you will have the opportunity to meet patients in a context where health promotion, conversation, and collaboration are a natural part of everyday life, in close cooperation with an experienced multidisciplinary team. Youth Clinic (UM) in Skåne consists of ten physical clinics plus UM Skåne Online, where midwives, nurses, and counselors meet patients via video calls. The operation is organized into five areas, each with a unit manager under a common operations manager. UM in Helsingborg constitutes one unit together with the clinic in Ängelholm, and here an engaged multidisciplinary team works consisting of counselors, midwives, nurses, nursing assistants, and physicians. Our target group is young people from 12 years old and up to and including 24 years old. Our mission is to work preventatively and promote health within areas such as sexual health, unwanted pregnancies, sexually transmitted infections, and physical and mental health problems. WORK DUTIES As a physician at UM Skåne, you work in a patient-centered and development-oriented operation where the young person's perspective is always in focus. You meet young people with different needs and life situations in a safe, inclusive, and accessible context, where medical assessments are combined with conversation and counseling. The work includes medical questions within, among other things, sexual and reproductive health, andrology, sexually transmitted infections, contraceptive counseling, and psychosocial issues. You work based on a youth-centered, norm-aware, and inclusive approach, with the goal of strengthening young people's health, participation, and empowerment. You are an important part of an experienced multidisciplinary team where medical issues are discussed and handled in close cooperation with midwives, nurses, counselors, and other professionals. Teamwork is a central part of the mission and provides good opportunities for knowledge exchange, joint assessments, and a holistic perspective on young people's needs. The role also includes participating in the operation's continued development through improvement and quality work as well as shared reflections on working methods and approach. You will have good opportunities to be involved in shaping routines, working methods, and structures going forward. The position is placed within Youth Clinic Skåne with main placement at the Youth Clinic in Helsingborg. Together with the clinic in Ängelholm, you form a joint unit. The position may also include service at other clinics in Skåne according to the operation's needs. We welcome positions of at least 50 percent and look forward to discussing the degree of employment based on the operation's needs and your wishes. QUALIFICATIONS You who are applying are a licensed physician with authorization to practice in Swedish healthcare and have specialist training in general medicine or in pediatrics and adolescent medicine. Furthermore, you have Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale and feel confident in meeting young people in conversations about both medical and psychosocial issues.
