Ref: 20261863 Would you like an independent, varied, and meaningful job where you make a difference for the Sweden-Finnish minority in Malmö? Malmö city is a Finnish administrative area, and as an elderly pedagogue with Finnish language competence, you will have a unique cross-departmental assignment where you work to strengthen the Sweden-Finnish minority's opportunities for participation, community, language, and culture. Through activities, meeting places, and social contexts, you contribute to creating opportunities for Sweden-Finnish residents of Malmö to use their mother tongue and preserve their cultural identity. No two weeks are the same. You move between different operations, meet many people, and plan large parts of your work independently. At the same time, you will receive thorough introduction for approximately two months together with a regular elderly pedagogue through shadowing, facility visits, and handover of the assignment. About the Assignment The position is placed within the Department of Health and Prevention, and the assignment is cross-departmental. When you start, the assignment will have been established for just over a year. This is a position for you who enjoys meeting people, building relationships, and having a day-to-day work with great variety. You will move between several operations and collaborate with many different professions within the department. A typical week consists of two days with companion/relief services and three days where you plan and carry out activities for the Sweden-Finnish target group and cooperate with different operations within the department. The assignment includes, among other things: planning and implementing activities that promote Sweden-Finnish culture, community, and language, and contributing to making visible and strengthening the Sweden-Finnish minority's culture and identity in the operations working at meeting places for seniors working at day activities for people with cognitive illness working as a companion/relief worker documenting according to current procedures in LifeCare cooperating with, among others, family consultants, consultative teams, fixer services, and outreach activities creating and maintaining contacts The role is characterized by great freedom within responsibility. You plan and prioritize yourself based on current needs and are an important link between several operations. Work is performed in both Finnish and Swedish depending on the target group's needs. Organization and Workplace You have your organizational affiliation in Section Administration and report to the Section Manager. Your office is located on Storgatan, but most of your working time is spent out in the operations. For travel between operations, you will have access to a service bike, and it is therefore a requirement that you can cycle. You are alone in the specialist role but are part of a well-functioning section with nine colleagues and a present manager. You participate in common forums for cooperation and experience exchange. In addition to workplace meetings, you have regularly scheduled administration time at the office and recurring check-ins with your manager and the development secretary responsible for national minorities. The department is LGBTQI-certified. Qualifications Post-secondary education as an elderly pedagogue or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Fluent Finnish and Swedish, both spoken and written. At least two years of experience in social work Experience with documentation. Good digital competence and experience working in Office 365. Experience in independently planning, structuring, and prioritizing your work. Experience collaborating with different professions and operations. Can cycle. Meritorious Experience as a companion/relief worker and/or work at a meeting place for elderly and day activity for people with cognitive illness. Experience working with the Sweden-Finnish minority. Coordinating or cross-departmental assignments with many contact points. Knowledge of Malmö city's operations and methods within health, care, and welfare.
