About the Job We in the Southwest City District are looking for you to help develop and advance health-promoting and preventive work to strengthen opportunities for an active and healthy life well into the senior years. As part of evidence-based operations, you work based on research and proven experience. Through an outreach and relationship-building approach, you create meaningful connections with seniors and collaborate with volunteers, associations, and public actors to strengthen participation and create new contact points. In this role, you plan and lead activities – social gatherings, cultural events, lectures, and community information. You meet with seniors in conversations, counseling, and support, and contribute to shaping programs and content at meeting places. You need to be comfortable working in direct contact with seniors and also be able to shift to broader issues. Your work includes: Organizing lectures/information sessions and collaborating with internal/external actors together with other colleagues. Systematic follow-up of activities/assignments/goals. You will work closely with the municipality to promote independent living and delay entry into elderly care services. Working hours are scheduled during daytime, but a couple of times per year, for various meetings or special events, evening/weekend service may occur. You will work across the entire district, which also includes the Southern Archipelago. About You Requirements We are looking for someone with a university degree in social work, behavioral science, pedagogy, public health, or another university degree that we can assess as equivalent. Experience working with health-promoting and preventive work, relationship-building, and strengthening democracy based on our values of equal human worth. You have excellent IT skills, primarily in Microsoft Office, and have a pedagogical ability to guide seniors in digital exclusion. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Meritorious Experience working with seniors in meeting places or similar health-promoting activities, both operationally and strategically. Experience in relationship-building and contact-creation work with seniors and with group dynamics. Experience facilitating group activities. Experience working with Motivational Interviewing. Part of the role involves marketing our services, so you need to be comfortable in social contact situations, both formal and informal, as you will create networks and build relationships.
