Welcome to be part of our team at the preventive unit in Järva!
The preventive unit consists of six meeting points run by activity leaders. The unit also includes a vision and hearing instructor, coordinators, and a digital support specialist. The preventive unit is under the Kista service house area, day services, and the preventive unit.
At our six meeting points in Järva, seniors aged 65+ visit us. We create opportunities to meet and get to know new friends. There is an opportunity to participate in a rich variety of activities that benefit both body and soul.
Your role
The role involves planning and conducting various activities offered by the operation. Focus is on health-promoting activities based on current research and evidence. You have an important role in influencing and developing the operation. You collaborate with all staff members in the operation.
As an activity leader, you will work with the following tasks, among others:
Plan, implement, evaluate, and develop activities (with focus on health promotion) based on group and individual needs
Find channels and through these promote our meeting points
Create participation and capture initiatives from seniors
Collaborate and take advantage of opportunities available through civil actors
Collaborate externally with different professional categories and other operations
Work strategically and network to enable new collaborations and activities
Monitor the external environment with the aim of improving and adapting the operation
Administrative work such as follow-up, production of statistics, and operational reporting

Your competence and experience
We are looking for you who:
Have education in health, for example licensed physiotherapist, health educator, or other education that the employer deems equivalent
Have experience working with activities for older people
As a person, you are flexible and manage your work based on the operation's needs. You are responsive and have the ability to structure and prioritize your work, which means you get things done. You work well collaboratively and create and maintain contacts both internally and externally. We will place great emphasis on personal abilities and skills.

The values of elder care permeate our operation and you should be able to put these values into practice in your daily work. A work trial will be applied for applicants called for interview.
Before a possible interview, bring Swedish/EU EES ID or passport and relevant original documents for the position, education certificates/diplomas, any issued professional license, certificate, or work permit.
To work for Stockholm City with older and adult people with disabilities in their homes, you must show an extract from the Police's burden and suspicion register. You order the extract yourself and it must not be older than 6 months from the date of issuance.
