Activity Coordinator for Day Services

Do you want to work in direct social services by supporting people with disabilities in their development? We are now recruiting an Activity Coordinator for Hammarby Day Services. About the Role In this role, you will support participants in engaging in meaningful activities and increase their independence and participation in daily life according to their own wishes and needs. This can range from personal hygiene and cooking to participating in work-related activities. You will motivate participants in activities that promote health and quality of life. In your work, you collaborate with other professionals to create a comprehensive solution tailored to each participant's unique needs. Your tasks also include setting goals together with the participant, planning and documenting according to the current implementation plan, and maintaining contact with case managers and networks. About Hammarby Day Services Hammarby Day Services offers meaningful work tasks for people with disabilities, adapted to each individual's needs and conditions. Security is created through stable groups and personally designed activities. The facility has 48 places with opportunities for external internships. The target group is adults within LSS (Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). An engaged team of approximately 17 people, including an occupational therapist, activity coordinator, and craft pedagogue, works in the facility, which is operated by Nytida on behalf of the City of Stockholm. Hammarby Day Services is located on Södermalm, between Vitabergsparken and northern Hammarbyhamnen, with good public transport connections via bus, ferry, and subway (the nearest station is Skanstull, approximately 15 minutes walk). Your Experience and Knowledge You have upper secondary education in healthcare and elderly care, for example as a nursing assistant. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, good computer skills, and experience with documentation. You have a positive outlook and strong commitment to people, are responsible, and have personal maturity. You enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues, and always prioritize the well-being of our employees in everything you do. It is advantageous if you have experience working with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) and based on clarifying pedagogy and low-intensity confrontation approaches.
