About Passalen Passalen is a non-profit organization working to create a more inclusive society that recognizes the potential in all children. We create inclusion for children and youth with functional variations who need support organizing their leisure time, finding friends, or trying out holiday work, and we run activities that promote meetings between people. Passalen is covered by collective agreements and operates in several locations throughout Sweden. Program-Specific Information Passalen's activities are conducted through various programs and projects. In this role, you will work in Klubbar by Passalen. Klubbar by Passalen is a program that offers children and youth with functional variations the opportunity to participate in open leisure activities, such as activities at youth centers, swimming pools, and sports facilities. We serve as a bridge to enable children and youth with functional variations to take part in open leisure time. We engage in dialogue with participants to create conditions for each individual's participation. Through the program, participants receive support to engage in various activities, such as crafts, gaming, games, and sports. The goal is to help participants make new friends, develop their social skills, and increase their participation in society. We also conduct outreach work to reach our target group and let them know we exist. We do this by maintaining contact with participants via phone and visiting schools and other places where our target group is located. Learn more about the program here: https://passalen.se/klubbarbypassalen/ Job Description Your work as an activity coach primarily involves running different clubs in open leisure time together with our participants. A club might be an activity at a youth center such as baking, playing video games, or crafts, a visit to a swimming pool, or trying out a sport. You actively participate in the organized activity and support all participants to take part according to their circumstances, abilities, and needs. You are there as a role model and friend for Passalen's participants and have the task of making each participant feel seen and welcome. Collaboration is an important part of the role—you should enjoy working in a team but also be able to work independently. You work to ensure that Passalen's participants are included in regular leisure activities. You also plan individual activities and school visits in consultation with your immediate supervisor. During activities, you may have additional responsibility for implementation, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and that all participants feel safe and engaged. In addition to the practical work with activities, there may also be simple administrative tasks. This could include documentation or creating materials in Canva for communication and planning. You need to be proactive, self-directed, and able to drive the work forward based on the job description and schedule. The work will primarily be located in Sundbyberg and Vallentuna but also at our office in Handen. This is a fixed-term full-time position starting immediately and running until 2026-12-31 with the possibility of extension.
