Your Responsibilities The Prosecutor's Office is looking for someone who wants to play a central role in crime prevention. As a prosecutor, you will apply law in both theory and practice with significant independence and in collaboration with others. As a prosecutor trainee, you will work on all aspects of criminal cases at a general prosecutor's chamber. You will lead preliminary investigations, make decisions on prosecution matters, and conduct proceedings in court. Your Qualities and Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a Swedish citizen with a Nordic law degree. Upon taking office as a prosecutor trainee, you must also be a notary certified from a district or administrative court. As a person, we would like you to have a strong interest in criminal and procedural law be legally skilled have an ability to collaborate and lead others be driven, able to organize and prioritize your work, and make independent decisions be stable and have good judgment have good analytical ability and capacity for critical thinking have good communication skills. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. It is advantageous if, in addition to your notary certification, you have experience with relevant qualified legal work. Admissions Process During your time as a prosecutor trainee, you will have a fixed-term employment of 9-12 months. After that, a permanent position follows. Before offering employment, the Prosecutor's Office may conduct record checks in the suspicion register and criminal record register. The record check is conducted on the final candidate. Tests may be part of the recruitment process. The Prosecutor's Office is a contingency agency. Upon employment, you may be placed on civil defense duty at the Prosecutor's Office.
