AKG Sverige is Seeking an Employment Consultant Supporting job seekers individually and in groups could be your next challenge! Step to Work (STA) is a valuable and high-quality service procured by the Swedish Public Employment Service with the ultimate goal of identifying resources and support needs in a coordinated process and strengthening and developing participants with the objective of starting work or education. The target group is outside the labor market for various reasons and needs customized work preparation measures to achieve self-sufficiency. Learn more about the assignment on our website: www.akgsverige.se Your main task will be to ensure that participants in the program increase their activity level and thereby achieve the service's goal of moving closer to work or education. Areas of Responsibility: Scheduling and planning work with participants Conduct skills assessments in which the participant's competencies, prerequisites, and interests related to the labor market are made visible Provide support during activity execution Coach and support participants in the program and at real workplaces Vary activities and support based on participants' needs with focus on their background, prerequisites, needs - linked to their target occupation Through lectures and individual conversations, cover various self-empowerment topics Responsibility for follow-ups at participants' work trial placements Responsibility for ensuring that jointly set goals after each phase of the service are followed up and documented Collaboration with colleagues such as licensed Occupational Therapists, Career Counselors, and Language Support staff To succeed in your role, we believe you need extensive experience in the above areas and access to a solid personal toolkit from which to draw knowledge and working methods. You are responsible for our reporting to clients, so strong documentation skills will facilitate your work. The role involves many contacts within and outside the organization; you need to find it easy to create trusting relationships with people. At AKG Sverige, we work in teams, and as an Employment Consultant, you share responsibility with a licensed Occupational Therapist to ensure that through our internal processes we deliver a service we are proud of, and you are part of the ongoing development work. Basic Competency Requirements At least 2 years of full-time higher education or professional higher education within sociology, behavioral science, pedagogy, or medicine 1 year of experience at least half-time in individual or group coaching/mentoring of people with mental or physical health issues or functional limitations during the last 3 years.
