AI Developer - Project Position for Local FAQ/RAG Solution

About the Job We are looking for an experienced developer for a short-term project assignment to implement a local AI-based FAQ and help function for our analytics tools. We develop and deliver our own systems for web analytics and website maintenance. Our solutions are used by organizations that want to understand how their websites are used and work systematically with quality, content, and improvements. We are a company that invests in quality, long-term thinking, and technical development. Our systems are developed internally and we continuously work on improving, modernizing, and building new features. Now we want to complement our analytics tools with an AI-based help function where users can ask questions about the tool's features and get relevant answers based on our own documentation and knowledge base. About the Project The goal of the project is to implement a local AI/RAG solution that can be used as an FAQ and intelligent help directly in our various analytics tools. The solution should be able to search and retrieve relevant information from our own documentation and use this information to provide users with clear and relevant answers. We will start from an existing and established framework that is already used for similar solutions. The choice of framework has not yet been finalized, so you will also have the opportunity to be involved in evaluating and recommending an appropriate technical solution. It will require adaptations of the framework to our existing environment, our systems, and our requirements for local operation. The solution will run in our own Linux-based server environment. Responsibilities In the project, you will, among other things: Evaluate and recommend an appropriate framework for the solution Install and configure the chosen AI/RAG solution in our Linux environment Adapt the framework to our existing technical environment Work with Python for integrations and customizations Structure and index documentation and other materials that the AI will use Work with information retrieval, embeddings, and possible vector databases Integrate the FAQ/AI function with our existing analytics tools Optimize the solution regarding quality, relevance, and response times Test and quality assure the solution Document installation, configuration, and technical customizations Qualifications We are looking for you who have: Documented experience developing and implementing AI/RAG solutions Experience from at least one similar project that has been deployed and used in a real production environment Good knowledge of Python Very good knowledge of Linux Experience with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and operation in a Linux environment Experience working with existing AI/RAG frameworks and adapting them to a specific environment Knowledge of LLMs, information retrieval, and embeddings Ability to work independently and drive a technical project from solution selection to completed implementation Good ability to communicate in Swedish or English For this position, it is important that you have previously completed similar work in a live production setting. Experience only from education, thesis work, or school projects is therefore not sufficient. Meritorious It is meritorious if you have experience with: Locally operated or self-hosted language models Vector databases Different RAG frameworks and the ability to assess the pros and cons between them API integrations Docker or similar container solutions PostgreSQL or other databases Operation and optimization of local LLMs Information security and solutions where data should be kept within your own infrastructure Who We Are Looking For Since this is a clearly defined project, we are looking for someone who can quickly get up to speed in an existing environment and take significant independent responsibility for the solution. You need to be able to combine practical development with problem-solving and technical decision-making. We especially value that you have previously built something similar and know what challenges arise when an AI solution needs to work stably in a real production environment. You don't need to be an AI researcher or develop your own language models. What is important is that you have experience using, configuring, integrating, and adapting existing AI technology to working solutions.
