Your new team In this role, you will be part of our newly established Data & AI Center, which has a clear mission: to drive and increase the use of data and AI to enable data-driven decisions across all Axfood companies and processes. Axfood has long worked with both AI and ML, but with this group we are creating better conditions to drive the technology more broadly across the organization. The group is responsible for developing and maintaining AI models and AI applications, from generative AI solutions such as agents and chatbots to classical ML models, and ensures they function in our main processes. You work closely with the business to understand needs, translate them into technical solutions, and help AI become a natural part of our processes. Your responsibilities may include: • Develop and maintain AI models and applications (ML and GenAI) as part of our IT solutions • Work across the entire chain: from design and development to production deployment and MLOps • Contribute to establishing best practices for AI development and delivery • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Tech Product Owners, and Delivery Leads to create scalable solutions We are recruiting several people to the team and are therefore open to different levels of seniority and specialized expertise. The exact responsibilities in the role will therefore be tailored to those we hire. Does this fit you? In this recruitment, we will be hiring several people and are therefore interested in different seniority levels. To succeed in the role, however, you need to have at least a couple of years of experience in similar areas, such as Data Science or machine learning. You also need to have prior experience developing your own AI solutions. Further, you need to have: • Experience developing and implementing AI solutions as part of IT systems • Knowledge of ML/AI, generative AI, and preferably experience with MLOps and DevOps • Ability to work across the entire development chain – from design to operations It's a plus if you have experience leading backlog refinement or design work for AI solutions.
