Job Description Are you an experienced Data Engineer who enjoys building stable, scalable, and sustainably maintainable data solutions in production? AFRY Digital Services is now seeking senior Data Engineers for our team in Gothenburg who want to work on technically challenging assignments where data engineering is business-critical. (This is not a BI role, but a role for someone who wants to work close to code, architecture, operations, and quality in modern data platforms) Qualifications As a Data Engineer with us, you will work as a consultant on assignments where you build, develop, and maintain data platforms and data flows used for analytics, decision support, and further digital development. You will work closely with other Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and software developers, and are responsible for ensuring that data flows operate robustly, efficiently, and sustainably in production. Assignments vary in length and scope from larger platform initiatives to more defined technical efforts, both locally and internationally. Example of Work Tasks Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines in Python Work with ETL/ELT flows, transformation, and data modeling Ensure data quality, validation, and testability in data flows Work with workflow orchestration (e.g., Airflow or similar) Build and operate solutions in cloud environments, primarily Microsoft Azure Contribute to CI/CD, version control, and monitoring of data flows Collaborate with colleagues and customers on requirements, architecture, and solution design We are Looking for You Who Have At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer in production environments Very strong knowledge of Python Good experience with SQL, databases, and data modeling Experience building and maintaining scalable and robust data pipelines Experience with cloud-based data platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure Familiarity with working structured with Git, code review, and testing Ability to take responsibility for solutions all the way to stable operations Meritorious Experience with Airflow, Dagster, or similar orchestration tools Azure services such as Data Factory, Databricks, or Synapse CI/CD solutions and DevOps approaches for data flows Container technology (Docker, Kubernetes) You must be able to communicate professionally in English. Swedish is meritorious for this position, as several assignments and customer discussions are conducted in Swedish.
