The business area generates revenues of over 750 MSEK and has 110 employees. The Assignment Växjö Energi is an integral part of everyday life for residents and businesses in the Växjö region. By delivering societally critical infrastructure in the form of electricity, heating, cooling and broadband, we contribute every day to enabling people to live, work and develop in a sustainable and growing society. As Business Area Manager for Power & Heat, you will have a central role in developing and securing some of the societal functions that people and businesses in Växjö depend on every day. You will lead our largest business area with responsibility for the production of district heating and district cooling, distribution to customers, and the development of energy services for a sustainable future society. The focus is on developing the business and customer relationships, as well as identifying, initiating and driving efficiency and improvement initiatives, and continuous development of the business area's capabilities and competencies. The issues you handle are often complex and encompass an exciting spectrum of aspects such as personal safety, external environment, economics, technology, market, employees and partnerships. You hold overall responsibility for results and personnel management and are responsible for overall planning through budget planning, business plans, resource allocation, competence development, operations monitoring and more. The role also includes actively monitoring and influencing developments within the energy industry through participation in networks and industry forums. You contribute to understanding, translating and implementing changes in legislation, regulatory requirements and regulatory frameworks, while ensuring that the business is well positioned for tomorrow's market. You report to the CEO and President of Växjö Energi and are part of the Växjö Energi Group's management team, where you actively contribute to the development of the entire group. Profile To succeed in the role, you need secure, business-minded and development-oriented leadership. We are therefore looking for an experienced leader with a documented track record of success in leading larger operations through other managers and with clear responsibility for results, operations and business. The role places high demands on the ability to create engagement, build strong management teams and align the organization around common goals. A strategic perspective combined with decisive action and execution capability is critical to success in the role. You build trust through respect, clarity and presence, and create a culture where people take responsibility, develop and contribute to the success of the business. We see that you have: Experience leading managers and developing larger operations. Documented ability to drive change and development initiatives with good results. Strong business acumen and experience with budget, results and operations management. Ability to create engagement, clear direction and strong accountability in the organization. Good analytical skills and ability to handle complex issues within economics, technology and business development. Good ability to build long-term partnerships and collaborate with different stakeholders, both internally and externally. Knowledge of and experience from the energy industry is a merit, as is experience from operations in infrastructure, production or other societally important activities. Experience can be acquired from energy companies, industry, consulting activities or supplier chains related to the energy and infrastructure sector. Academic education in engineering, economics or other relevant field for the role is desirable. The role also requires good IT skills and very good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
