About the Role Vattenfall Services is Sweden's leading company in maintenance, contracting, and consulting services for energy and power facilities. About the Role The business area plays a key role in Vattenfall Services' operations and is responsible for developing technical solutions and design documentation for our power plant projects. The operation consists of four departments with specialist expertise in construction and engineering, whose work forms the foundation of our power plant projects. In the role of Business Area Manager Construction, you will have the opportunity to lead a national operation with approximately 60 employees and four department managers. We offer you a varied leadership assignment in a central part of our operation. You will have financial, strategic, and operational responsibility for the entire business area, including forecasts, cost budgets, and operational monitoring. Furthermore, you have overall responsibility for our technical networks and identify opportunities and solutions for the industry's resource and competency challenges. Key principles are good working environment, safety, collaboration, and efficient planning. You report to the Unit Manager for Projects and are part of the management group. Job Requirements Substantial experience from the contracting and/or energy sector – for example, you could have a background in construction, infrastructure, engineering, or industry Extensive experience in a leadership position with experience managing management teams, strategic planning, finance, personnel, and results Experience leading managers (advantageous) Communicate fluently in Swedish in speech and writing. Sometimes you also need to communicate in English To be successful in the role, you are a coaching leader who drives results through collaboration within your own management team as well as throughout the organization. You have the ability to set direction and bring your employees along through high involvement. Your communication skills are excellent and as a leader you are clear, attentive, and a reliable support for your employees. Finally, you are accustomed to leading remotely while being present digitally and by phone. Travel is a natural part of the work (approximately 2 days/week) and a B-driver's license is a requirement for the position.
