About the Role Vattenfall Services is Sweden's leading company in maintenance, contracting, and consulting services for energy and electrical facilities. About the Role The business area has a key role in Vattenfall Services' operations and is responsible for developing technical solutions and design documentation for our station projects. The operation consists of four departments with specialized expertise in construction and engineering, whose work forms the foundation for our station projects. In your role as Business Area Manager Construction, you will have the opportunity to lead a national operation with approximately 60 employees and four department managers. We offer you a varied leadership assignment in a central part of our operations. You will have financial, strategic, and operational responsibility for the entire business area including forecasts, cost budgets, and operational monitoring. Furthermore, you have overall responsibility for our technology networks and identify opportunities and solutions to the industry's resource and competency challenges. The guiding principles are good working environment, safety, collaboration, and efficient planning. You report to the Unit Manager for Projects and participate in the management group. Position Requirements Solid experience from the contracting and/or energy sector – you could, for example, have a background in construction, infrastructure, engineering, or industry Extensive experience in a leadership position with experience managing management groups, strategic planning, finances, personnel, and results Experience managing managers (desirable) Communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written. Sometimes you will also need to communicate in English To be successful in this role, you are a coaching leader who drives results through collaboration in your own management group as well as in the broader organization. You have the ability to set direction and bring your employees along through high engagement. Your communication skills are excellent and as a leader you are clear, responsive, and a trusted support for your employees. We hope that you will work with us to continue developing our operations and contribute with commitment and innovative thinking. Finally, you are experienced in leading remotely while being present digitally and by phone. Travel is a natural part of the work (approximately 2 days/week) and a Class B driver's license is a requirement for the position.
