Vy Buss has won a comprehensive traffic contract and is now seeking a Business Manager for Borås. We're looking for someone with drive, business focus, and a natural desire to make things happen. You'll have the mandate to establish and lead an operation that will become an important part of the city's public transportation for years to come.
Your areas of responsibility
As Business Manager, you have overall responsibility for building, leading, and developing the operation in Borås. You are responsible for ensuring stable, safe, and high-quality service delivery according to the traffic agreement with Västtrafik while driving the business toward set goals for results, customer satisfaction, and sustainability.
The role combines strategic business responsibility with present leadership in a 24/7 operation. You will be Vy's primary representative in the relationship with Västtrafik while building and developing the local organization with a focus on culture, performance, and engagement.
You lead the operation's local management team, are responsible for budget, business follow-up, and operational development, and ensure that operations are conducted efficiently and in accordance with contracts, laws, and regulations. An important part of the assignment is also creating good relationships with employees, union representatives, and external stakeholders.
About you
You are a confident and engaging leader motivated by building operations, developing people, and creating results together with others. You have good business acumen, a structured way of working, and the ability to combine strategic thinking with operational presence. Through inclusive and communicative leadership, you create trust, engagement, and long-term relationships in an operation where people are central.
We see that you have a university degree or equivalent experience, as well as documented experience leading large operational and labor-intensive operations. You have worked with business and results responsibility, led through other managers, and been part of a management team. You also have experience with change and development work, budget responsibility, and business management. Experience from transport, logistics, or other operations with high operational complexity is a merit, as is experience with contract-based operations and negotiations with both customers and union representatives.
