The Technical Division operates its activities in-house and consists of five operational areas: Nyköping Water, Municipal Properties, Waste Management, Streets/Parks/Harbor, and Meal Services. These are supported by an accounting department, a project department, and an administrative staff. The division employs approximately 400 employees and has an annual turnover of over 1 billion kronor, with an investment budget of 600 million kronor for 2024. Nyköping Water is responsible for all water and sewage operations within Nyköping municipality, which includes operation, maintenance, and construction of water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, pump stations, and pipe networks. The operations include 7 water treatment plants, 3 water towers, 12 sewage treatment plants, and 90 sewage pump stations, a pipe network of approximately 90 mil, and its own water laboratory.

DUTIES
As a Subscriber Engineer, you are responsible for matters concerning properties' connection to the municipal water and sewage system. You handle connection applications, calculate connection fees, and prepare documentation for customer agreements. The role also includes coordination in matters, answering customer inquiries, and managing water and sewage-related administrative tasks.
The position involves developing in-depth expertise in water and sewage tariffs, water and sewage law, and ABVA (KFVA).
In this role, you have extensive contact and ongoing dialogue with property owners, contractors, and developers. You also work closely with other units at Nyköping Water and other functions within the municipality. The work involves technical, legal, and economic matters within water and sewage. This is a varied position where you are continuously faced with new challenges and given the opportunity to develop in your role.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
• You have relevant academic education or equivalent professional experience in the water and sewage field
• Experience working in water and sewage, community development, or technical administration
• You have some legal expertise and can read, understand, and apply legislation
• Good computer skills and very good Swedish in speech and writing
• Class B driver's license

• Future, VAbanken, or similar systems
• ABVA (KFVA) and the Water Services Act
