75% Personal Assistant Position for 15-Year-Old in Tyringe

Since our client has received an expanded personal assistance decision, we are now seeking personal assistants for a 14-year-old boy with autism, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, pica syndrome, and an intellectual disability. He lives in Tyringe with his family and requires supervision by 2 staff members during all waking hours, as well as support in daily activities to ensure they are carried out properly. His leisure interests change frequently. One week he might enjoy playing with his cars. Another week he might want to play with his collection of cleaning supplies. He needs to have peace and quiet but under supervision. He is very creative and has a strong interest in creative activities such as drawing, baking, playing with clay, and building things with paper or wood. He also enjoys stories and watching films. To succeed in this role, it is important that you are willing to take an interest in and engage with the client's interests. The client has personal assistance to manage his daily life, which includes his interests and schooling, as well as challenging behaviors. In these situations, he needs your help to guide and support him through everyday situations that are difficult for him to understand. You will work as a double-assistant during all waking work hours. During nighttime work, one staff member is awake while the other is on standby. Therefore, it is important that you can collaborate with other colleagues. We are looking for someone who is positive, creative, and resourceful. Most days, your responsibilities will involve staying one step ahead of the client. This could range from preventing his challenging behaviors to keeping him engaged and active. Previous experience with low-arousal approaches is a merit. The position is 75%. Work shifts are scheduled at various times, including day + night (standby), day/evening, overnight waking shifts, and weekends. You will work every other weekend. We are also looking for someone who would be willing to cover as an hourly relief worker when our regular staff are sick or need time off.
