HI! I'm a 23-year-old woman currently looking for someone who wants to work as my personal assistant! You will be employed by my assistance company Vivida Assistans, but you will perform the work where I am, for example at home in my apartment or at KTH where I study. A BIT ABOUT ME I live in central Stockholm and am studying to become a civil engineer in computer science. I have a muscle disease called nemaline myopathy, which is a form of muscle weakness. That's why I need your help with most physical tasks such as transfers, getting dressed, showering, and more. The apartment in Stockholm is a student apartment located near Stadion and there are good public transportation options with both buses and subway. There is also an assistant room with a bed in the apartment. In my spare time, I need to spend quite a bit of time on my studies, but sometimes I like to work out at the gym and then I need your active help. I also need help with various household chores, and so on. So the job can vary from day to day and it's important that you as a person are flexible in your approach. It's also important that you are a good listener since I will tell you what I need help with. WHO AM I LOOKING FOR? Are you a flexible person who can work calmly and methodically? Then this might be a position for you! The work involves some manual lifting, so it's important that you are quite strong. If you have experience working as a personal assistant, that's certainly positive, but most important is your personality and that we can build mutual trust. It's positive if you have a driver's license, but it's not a requirement. As I mentioned, I'm a woman myself and would therefore prefer that you are as well. It's a plus if you are 22–35 years old. I have a cat, so it's good if you're not allergic to or afraid of cats. WORK HOURS AND EMPLOYMENT LEVEL I'm looking for someone who wants to work one to two fixed shifts per week, around 40-60%. The fixed shifts will be on weekdays. I also hope that you can sometimes work extra for me when my other assistants are sick or need to take time off. The work will include daytime, evening, and night shifts. There is on-call time, so-called on-duty shifts, during the night. This means you sleep at the workplace and are available when I need help.
