Your Tasks
The welding department tasks have a broad scope, encompassing both manual and robot welding and are subject to ISO 3834-2 and ISO 5817, which means that quality and precision permeate the company's approach in all operations, regardless of welding method.
The welding shop is modern with a number of heavy-duty work tables and modern positioners for workpieces up to 5 tons. The shop is also equipped with several welding robots and is set up to perform qualified joint preparation.
As a welder, you work independently building according to drawings and without fixtures. The job involves reading drawings, checking dimensions, tack welding, and finishing welding details with great precision. The items are both large and small, and batch sizes are small or one-off production. This means you have the opportunity to take responsibility and develop as a welder. You participate in continuous improvement work, 5S, and other LEAN activities. Shift work occurs.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with recent welding training or who is already working as a welder today, but wants to develop and take on more responsibility. We believe you are someone who likes to take responsibility, maintains high quality, and enjoys taking your own initiative when you see that something can be improved. You are reliable, work methodically, and thrive in an environment where people help each other and where ego doesn't get in the way of doing really good work together.
You must be able to read WPS documents and drawings and plan your own work (MIG/MAG and TIG). Forklift and overhead crane certification as well as computer skills are advantageous.
