Your Responsibilities
The welding department offers a wide range of tasks, including both manual and robotic welding, and complies with ISO 3834-2 and ISO 5817, which means quality and precision are at the heart of the company's approach to all operations, regardless of welding method.
The welding workshop is modernly equipped with a number of sturdy welding tables and modern positioning equipment for workpieces up to 5 tons. The workshop is also equipped with several welding robots and designed to allow for qualified joint preparation.
As a welder, you work independently building from drawings without fixtures. The job involves reading drawings, measuring and checking, tack welding, and finishing details with great precision. The items range from larger to smaller pieces, and production runs are small or made-to-order. This gives you the opportunity to take responsibility and develop as a welder. You participate in continuous improvement work, 5S, and other LEAN activities. Shift work is part of the position.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with recent welding training or who already works as a welder but wants to develop and take on more responsibility. We believe you are someone who enjoys taking responsibility, maintains high quality standards, and readily takes your own initiative when you see something can be done better. You are reliable, work in a structured manner, and thrive in an environment where people help each other and ego doesn't get in the way of doing a really good job together.
You should be able to read WPS documents and drawings and plan your own work (MIG/MAG and TIG). Forklift and overhead crane certification, as well as computer skills, are advantageous.
