We are looking for you to be part of shaping the future of social services in the role of Senior Social Worker at Individual and Family Services in Karlshamn. Job Responsibilities: As a Senior Social Worker, you provide professional support to social workers in their daily work. You work on development initiatives based on the new Social Services Act, distribute cases, supervise, follow up, and guide with the goal of strengthening social workers' independence in their exercise of authority. Together with other senior social workers, the unit manager, and support functions, you contribute to developing efficient workflows and trustworthy service to residents. For us, it is important that you participate in operational development, collaborate with colleagues and your manager to contribute to a well-functioning and high-quality service. Your work is characterized by legal security, knowledge, and respectful treatment. You have a central role in the operation where you are responsible for ensuring that cases are handled in accordance with applicable delegation rules, laws, and regulations, as well as goals and guidelines decided by the board. You are also responsible for bringing matters before the board and committee, and represent the board's position in district court, administrative court, and court of appeal. Requirements for the Position: Degree in Social Work (Socionom) Several years of experience in the exercise of authority within child and youth social care Good ability to express yourself clearly in speech and writing in Swedish B-class driver's license Meritorious for the Position: Experience in leading, coaching, or mentoring others, for example in work or volunteer settings Previous experience working with Signs of Safety and/or Irisk Qualities: We are looking for someone who is organized and has good ability to plan and prioritize at a varied pace. You are confident in your role and able to make well-founded decisions, even under pressure. You are calm, professional, and clear in your communication – and easily build trusting relationships with both colleagues and those we serve. You have good collaboration skills and a solution-focused approach with a willingness to contribute to the bigger picture. About the Workplace: Within Individual and Family Services in Karlshamn Municipality, we work with a strong focus on strengthening people's own resources, with the goal of increasing independence, participation, and long-term well-being. We strive to meet residents' needs in a legally secure, accessible, and professional manner. The Child and Family Unit consists of approximately 25 employees who work with intake, investigations, and placements. The unit also includes foster care coordinators and child investigators. Within the unit, we have close collaboration with several competent functions, such as SSPF coordinator, specialist social worker, placement coordinator, social administrators, and operational developers.
