The 1st Cyber Defense Regiment (1.CFF) is part of the Swedish Armed Forces' capability for armed conflict in the cyber domain. We defend the Swedish Armed Forces' command and control systems through both proactive offensive operations and reactive handling of IT security incidents. Our dimensioned adversaries have significant resources and high competence, which places high demands on us to protect these systems. Since the regiment's operations involve handling live operations, you will be an important player in defending Sweden and strengthening our collective capability in the cyber domain. Main Responsibilities In your role as an operations technician with us, you will be a key player in maintaining and developing the regiment's technical infrastructure. Your day-to-day work will be characterized by working with Linux-based systems, where you are responsible for everything from installation and configuration to proactively working with maintenance and troubleshooting. You will work with traditional operations and development by writing code and scripts to streamline workflows and processes. We are looking for someone who has recently begun their professional expertise in operations and management organizations with 1-2 years of experience in the tasks described above. You need to possess a genuine interest in different operating systems with a focus on Linux and understand how software development and operations are connected. Qualifications Post-secondary education in IT, computer science, or equivalent experience/knowledge that the employer deems equivalent. At least 1 year of work experience with Linux-based systems Strong ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing Previous experience programming in Bash and Python. Meritorious Previous experience working with security-sensitive technical infrastructure Work experience in military and/or governmental operations Work experience within a service organization Experience with programming languages other than those specified above Class B driver's license What We Offer You We can offer you meaningful tasks and a higher purpose in being part of the total defense family and defending Sweden. Work tasks within the regiment can sometimes change with short notice. This requires you to be flexible and have a knack for prioritizing tasks, combined with the ability to stay calm and maintain a good sense of humor even during periods of high workload. To be employed by the Swedish Armed Forces, Swedish citizenship is required. Employment includes national and international military service obligations. The position has combatant status, which means you must be able to handle and use weapons. You will receive this training from us. A security clearance with background check will be conducted before employment. The selection process will be supplemented with several interviews and tests.
