Magelungen operates treatment and resource schools at both primary and secondary school levels. The goal is to create an environment in our activities that is manageable, meaningful, and comprehensible. In all operations, research and evaluation are integrated components. About the Position We are looking for a driven counselor who wants to work in and develop treatment services at Magelungen. The position involves working with colleagues to manage content at both individual and group levels. This includes planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment work within our "full-day" services, which combine treatment and education. These services are directed at adolescents and their families/foster families. Our services are grounded in systems theory/systemic theory and simultaneously draw from multiple theoretical frameworks and evidence-based methods. What unites our services is that they address adolescents with serious school absenteeism and behavioral issues. In addition to planning and delivering treatment interventions, the position involves maintaining contact and coordinating efforts with our clients, working according to implementation plans, and managing other documentation. Work is conducted both as part of a team consisting of a family counselor and a mentor, and as part of a therapeutic milieu with other counselors and teachers. Qualifications You hold a degree in social work (socionom) or equivalent higher education qualification. Further education or experience in therapeutic training is a merit. It is important that you are motivated and driven by the desire to create non-judgmental relationships with children, guardians, colleagues, and clients. You need a strong understanding of the connection between theory and practice and have the ability to work independently. We want you to share our salutogenic approach, where respectful treatment, strengthening of resources and competence in those we meet is conveyed, while also maintaining appropriate boundaries. Since we work with families facing complex issues, it is also important that you as a person have good self-awareness and an open, inquisitive, and curious approach. Treatment interventions are conducted in collaboration with many different stakeholders, so you should also have strong collaborative skills. Our cases come from both Stockholm City and surrounding municipalities. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability based on the needs of our target group. Employment Type This is a fixed-term assignment from August 1, 2026 to March 25, 2027. Some possibility for extension exists.
