This position is a 100% temporary position starting by agreement through September 30, 2026, with the possibility of extension. About the Position As a nursing assistant with us, you will be an important part of our health center team. The work is varied and includes, among other things: • Blood sampling and laboratory work • Point-of-care testing • Blood pressure measurements • EKG • Suture removal • Wound dressing changes • Assisting with examinations and treatments • Standard tasks within primary care The work also includes blood sampling from both adults and children, both venous and capillary. We are looking for someone who • Is a trained nursing assistant • Has proof of a protected professional title for nursing assistant from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) • Has experience working at a health center or within primary care • Has good knowledge and laboratory experience with blood sampling — this is a requirement and is prioritized highly • Is experienced working with point-of-care testing • Is positive, driven, and flexible • Enjoys varied work tasks and patient contact • Has high service awareness and good teamwork skills • Can work both independently and as part of a team It is a merit if you have knowledge of the record systems Lifecare and Cosmic. About Our Organization Samariterhemmets Health Center is located in central Uppsala, a stone's throw from the Travel Center. Our health center is a large operation with 13,850 registered patients. Together we are over 70 employees, and all professional areas within the health center's mission are represented. The broad variety of patients creates a developing workplace. Since 2019, we have been an academic health center. An academic health center has essentially the same mission as other health centers and offers its patients the same care as before. The difference is that we have employees who are also researchers and work with development projects and education, including quality assurance and development of clinical practice-based training. In addition to regular staff, we also have clinical pharmacists, university lecturers, and clinical adjuncts. We focus on secure employment and good benefits through our collective agreement.
