Then you might be the right person for us. The Academic Home Department provides acute specialist care – in the patient's home. Instead of the patient being admitted to the hospital, you and your colleagues visit the patient at home to provide the care that would normally be delivered on inpatient wards. You build relationships, see the bigger picture, and make a real difference for the patient. This form of care has been applied in several places around Sweden for some years and shows very high patient satisfaction and patient involvement. We are looking for a dedicated nursing assistant for the Academic Home Department where patient-centered work is combined with administrative and research support. The department is part of the Infectious Disease Clinic, so one percent of your work will be in the clinic's operational coordinator role. The operations are currently staffed by registered nurses, and we are now taking the next step in development by expanding the team with nursing assistants. Your Assignment As a nursing assistant with us, you will have a varied role where you work both clinically and administratively. When working clinically, you will go out on home visits together with a registered nurse and together you will provide care in the patient's home, such as specimen collection, ostomy care, and wound dressing changes, etc. The administrative part of the Academic Home Department includes, among other things, patient registration, ordering of materials, etc. In time, the role may also include research support. In your work as a care flow coordinator, you will have overall responsibility for admission and discharge issues within the entire operational area and collaborate with staff on the department, clinic, hospital emergency departments, and central bed coordinators to ensure optimal patient flow within inpatient care. Your Qualifications We are looking for someone trained as a nursing assistant with a flexible work style and interest in care development and care flows. We would like to see that you have experience with research-related work and good knowledge of Cosmic and Agresso. Your Competence As a person, you always put the patient's best interests first, are self-driven, and take responsibility for your work tasks. You also adapt easily to changed circumstances, see opportunities in changes, and thrive in a fast-paced workplace. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities. What We Offer We offer a permanent full-time position, with start date by agreement. A trial employment period may be applied. Working hours are initially scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts, but as the operation scales up, night shifts may also become possible by agreement. Hiring is ongoing. • Orientation consisting of both clinical and theoretical sessions tailored individually over 2–5 weeks. Part of the orientation is conducted on inpatient wards within surgery, urology, or infectious disease depending on your previous experience in these areas. • We apply healthy scheduling with a focus on recovery.
