Internationella Engelska Skolan Huddinge is looking for a combined position for qualified teachers in English, Wood and PE to join us, teaching Year 6 - Year 9. Internationella Engelska Skolan in Huddinge opened 2013 and has around 500 students in year 6-9. We are located between Visättra and Solgård in Huddinge, which is an area undergoing major development. We are looking for teachers with an enthusiasm for their subject, excellent classroom management, and a sincere interest in student well-being. In addition, you will be part of a year team (arbetslag) overseeing the academic progress and well-being of students. We are looking for a positive and creative team player, who looks for solutions, shares ideas and is open to learn from others. The role also includes mentorship of 16 students. The teaching at the school is in both Swedish and English, and we follow the Swedish national curriculum. Our student body is diverse, and to be successful in teaching at IES Huddinge you need to have a good understanding of students' differences, and the ability to adapt and plan well. Besides the teaching you will be the mentor of 16 students. Since we teach in Swedish for at least half of our instruction, it is very advantageous if you are trained in Sweden and have a Swedish teaching qualification. Experience teaching in Sweden and knowledge of LGR22 is also advantageous. At IES Huddinge you are part of a truly international environment.
