We are now seeking a science teacher for grades 6–9 and a Mathematics and Science teacher for grades 4–9. Both positions start August 6, 2026. If you have extensive experience and strong commitment, there is also an opportunity to step into a role as subject area leader or senior teacher, which comes with salary supplements. Internationella Engelska Skolan in Huddinge opened in 2013 and has approximately 450 students in grades 6–9. The school is located between Visättra and Solgård in Huddinge Municipality, an area undergoing major transformation into a dynamic work and residential district, and our school will expand to include grades 4 and 5 in fall 2027! IES is proud of its staff and has developed a method to create a calm and safe school environment. This gives our teachers more time to share their knowledge with both students and colleagues. Your own instruction as a pedagogue from Sweden takes place in Swedish, but among colleagues we speak English. Your Role As a science teacher, you will be a key person in our students' learning. In addition to planning, teaching, assessment, and follow-up, you will also serve as a mentor and contribute to students' personal development. You will work closely with parents, colleagues, and the student support team to create the best possible conditions for each student to succeed. Who Are You? We are looking for someone who: - Is a certified teacher with credentials in science and mathematics for grades 7–9 or 4–9. Swedish teacher certification is a merit. - Is a pedagogue who can inspire, challenge, and meet students at their level. - Is a clear and confident leader in the classroom with the ability to create structure and a productive work environment. - Is flexible, collaborative, and positive—you see opportunities and solutions. - Is experienced in adapting instruction and working inclusively with student support teams and special educators. - Is comfortable teaching and communicating in both Swedish and English.
