We are now seeking a Science teacher for grades 6–9 and a Mathematics and Science teacher for grades 4-9. Both positions start August 6, 2026. If you have extensive experience and strong commitment, there is also an opportunity to step in as a subject area leader or lead teacher, which comes with salary supplements. Internationella Engelska Skolan in Huddinge opened in 2013 and has approximately 450 students in grades 6-9. The school is located between Visättra and Solgård in Huddinge municipality, an area undergoing major transformation into a dynamic work and residential area, and our school will expand to include grades 4 and 5 in the fall of 2027! IES is proud of its employees and has developed a method to create a calm and secure school environment. This gives our teachers more time to share their knowledge, both with students and colleagues. Your own teaching as an educator from Sweden takes place in Swedish, but colleagues communicate in English. Your Role As a Science teacher, you will be a key person in our students' learning. In addition to planning, teaching, assessment, and follow-up, you will also be a mentor and contribute to students' personal development. You will work closely with parents, colleagues, and the student support team to create the best possible conditions for each student to succeed. Who Are You? We are seeking someone who is: - A certified teacher with qualifications in Science and Mathematics for grades 7–9 or 4-9. Swedish teaching certification is a merit. - A pedagogue who can inspire, challenge, and meet students at their level. - A clear and confident leader in the classroom with the ability to create structure and a focused work environment. - Flexible, collaborative, and positive – you see opportunities and solutions. - Experienced in adapting instruction and working inclusively with student support teams and special educators. - Comfortable teaching and communicating in both Swedish and English.
