JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking a support pedagogue for our short-term services unit with placement in area 2. This recruitment concerns short-term positions for children with work hours scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts. As a support pedagogue, you provide support in developing and using individually tailored pedagogical methods that promote independence and participation. You have a guiding and supervisory role with your colleagues regarding: • social documentation and implementation plans • methods and approaches • laws, protective, coercive and restrictive measures, and family perspectives The position is divided so that part of your work is in daily operations and part as a support pedagogue. The time distribution depends on operational needs and may change over time. This means you will also work closely in operations and meet youth with outward-directed behaviors who need present, secure, and clear adults around them. The work requires the ability to handle complex and demanding situations while creating conditions for safety, good relationships, and stable structure in daily life. As a support pedagogue, you are interested in developmental and versatile work where we create and maintain conditions for safety, self-determination, quality of life, development, and joy for users. Your role is to work supportively and motivationally with users to help them manage their daily lives as independently as possible. This is done through methods such as clear pedagogy, low-affect interaction, and alternative communication. The work also includes personal care, social support, and other services tailored to each individual's needs and circumstances. The work also involves documenting, developing, and following up on implementation plans and contributing to a functional and stimulating daily life for users, as well as delegated tasks from nurses, such as insulin and medication delegation. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking someone who: • Is educated as a support pedagogue with a 200-hour vocational qualification or has other post-secondary pedagogical education including at least 60 credits/200 hours in the functional disability field • Has experience working with youth in institutional care, secure facilities, schools, social psychiatry, NPF diagnoses, or similar settings • Has good knowledge of intellectual disabilities, autism, and autism spectrum conditions • Has good communication skills and can express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written • Has knowledge of digital platforms and experience with documentation You have a calm and professional approach, handle challenging situations with low-affect interaction, and can clearly communicate boundaries and limits with care and respect. Your communication is clear and you understand the importance of relationship-building work with a pedagogical approach. You are consistent and secure in established structures and routines, have good collaboration skills, and are responsible. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
