Description:

The purpose of the position is to help students with disabilities, disorders, or learning difficulties exercise their right to education, make more rational use of all available learning opportunities, and develop into independent citizens. Qualification requirements: At least a higher university education with a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification and professional qualification as a special education teacher. Proficiency in Lithuanian language at a level that meets the requirements of the State Language Proficiency Categories approved by the Resolution No. 1688 of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania of December 24, 2003. Ability to assess the need for support in the educational process and students' special educational needs. Ability to evaluate a student's educational needs by observing them in the educational process, identify learning strengths and difficulties, important factors of the educational environment, analyze the nature of learning difficulties and the resulting need for support. Ability to determine measures for student educational support and intervention, directions and methods for meeting individual educational needs, analyze and discuss with participants in the educational process (student, teachers, other support-providing specialists, school child welfare commission members, specialists) the student's learning achievements and progress. Provide special education teacher support taking into account students' needs, choose various forms of support delivery, and collaborate with teachers and parents.
