Hultsbergsskolan | Karlstad Municipality Job Responsibilities As a special education teacher at Hultsbergsskolan, you have the student in focus and work closely with both school management and staff. You are part of the school's student welfare team where collaborative learning and cooperation between student welfare professions are in focus. We have a comprehensive student welfare system at Hultsbergsskolan where we have divided our focus on grades 7–9 and preschool–6 while maintaining an F–9 perspective. The student welfare team includes a special education teacher, special education specialist, social pedagogues, counselors, school nurses, school psychologist, and career and education advisor, and we are now seeking a new colleague. You will have a central role and work toward all students' right to equivalent education. You will work to prevent and remove obstacles to learning, support students' knowledge development, and contribute to the school's development work at the organizational, group, and individual levels. The assignment includes responsibility, in collaboration with the school's teachers and student welfare staff, for mapping, support, and documentation regarding students in need of adjustments and special support, both regarding knowledge, well-being, and school attendance. You are expected to have an active role at the school regarding student welfare work of a promoting and preventive nature with focus on accessible learning environments and a language and knowledge-developing approach. Qualifications We are seeking someone who is a certified teacher with a special education degree, or alternatively is nearing the end of your education. As a person, we see that you are self-driven and take responsibility for advancing your work in a structured manner. You work goal and results-oriented and have a clear focus on students' development and goal achievement. You easily build trusting collaborations with both students, parents/guardians, and colleagues. Furthermore, you have good pedagogical insight and the ability to adapt your working approach based on students' different needs. You are clear in your communication and have a structured work style that contributes to safety and quality in the operation. The position is filled provided that necessary decisions are made.
