Job Responsibilities As a special education teacher at our upper secondary school, you work with preventive measures and supportive interventions to create the best possible conditions for student learning, development, and goal achievement. You are an important part of the student support team and work closely with school leadership, teachers, special education teachers, mentors, guardians, and external partners. Your responsibilities include: - Identifying, analyzing, and assessing students' needs for special support - Supporting teachers and work teams - Contributing to the development of an accessible learning environment - Participating in student support work with a focus on preventive and health-promoting measures - Establishing, following up, and evaluating support plans and interventions - Conducting pedagogical assessments and providing special education expertise in complex student cases - Contributing to the school's systematic quality work in student support and special education - Participating in and taking responsibility for transition processes throughout the year Your Profile We are looking for you, a certified special education teacher with a strong commitment to young people's learning, development, and well-being. You have the ability to see both individual needs and organizational development opportunities and work with an inclusive and solution-focused approach. To succeed in this role, we see that you: - Hold a special education degree and have experience working in upper secondary school (preferred) - Have solid knowledge of school regulations and current special education research - Feel confident in guiding and supporting teachers and work teams on pedagogical matters - Have strong analytical skills and experience with pedagogical assessments and evaluations - Work independently, in a structured manner, and take responsibility for driving processes forward - Have excellent collaboration skills and build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians - Communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing About the Department We teach children to read, count, and discover the world around them.
