Welcome to us! Högåsskolan is a preschool-6th grade school with approximately 480 students and 70 employees in the scenic Knivsta, right next to Gredelby hagars nature reserve. Our proximity to nature combined with our central location and short distance to commuter trains to quickly reach Uppsala or Stockholm provides fantastic opportunities for many different types of variation in teaching, something we see as an important part of students' learning. We are now looking for a new special education specialist for our fantastic special education team. Here, 3 special education teachers and 1 special education specialist are waiting to meet their new colleague. Are you the one we're looking for? Our special education specialists work on designing and evaluating intervention programs for our students and mentoring staff, while our special education teachers work on providing our students with specialized instruction. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a special education specialist at Högåsskolan, you work partly as part of our special education team which consists of one additional special education specialist and 3 special education teachers, partly as part of a work team with teachers, recreational leaders, and resources, and partly as part of the school's EHT team. As part of these teams, it is important that you are good at communicating, both internally at school and with guardians. At Högåsskolan, our special education specialists work on mentoring staff and are responsible for intervention programs and pedagogical assessments, while our special education teachers primarily work with students. We are now looking for a special education specialist focused on grades 3-6. The position is 100% with start 2026-08-11 or by agreement. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is trained as a special education specialist and it is meriting if you have some years of experience. We would like to see that you have previously worked in Legilexi, Magma, Lexplore and are familiar with conducting pedagogical assessments and designing as well as following up on intervention programs. You are structured and solution-oriented, work according to a clear process, plan your work well and complete what you have started, and find solutions to problems that arise. You are good at building and maintaining relationships with students, colleagues as well as guardians. Salary form: Monthly salary. Type of employment: Permanent position.
