With commitment and enthusiasm, you create a safe and educational learning environment that stimulates, strengthens, and challenges students' development and learning based on mutual respect and collaboration. Your work includes teaching as a classroom teacher in subject areas as well as mentoring. Teaching is designed in accordance with the adapted school curriculum where planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation are important cornerstones. You use special education methods and adapt instruction based on all students' needs with the student's best interests in focus. You work to eliminate barriers and difficulties in the learning environment by developing alternative learning environments and educational tools. In this role, you exercise good situationally adapted leadership both in and outside the classroom. You contribute expertise in working with educational assessments, adaptations, and intervention programs by conducting and documenting assessments, evaluations, and various forms of educational testing. Through dialogue, you build good relationships characterized by mutual respect, trust, and a positive approach. You systematically reflect on and evaluate the practical work individually and together with others. Your duties also include planning, prioritizing, and taking responsibility for your own time and development. In your role, you stay informed about current events, youth culture, current research, and drive development work. Who We're Looking For First and foremost, we are looking for you who have teaching credentials with authorization to teach as a special education teacher in subject areas in adapted primary school grades 7-9. Secondly, we are looking for you who have teaching credentials with authorization to teach in grades 1-6 or 4-9 in primary school with an interest in pursuing a special education program focusing on intellectual disabilities. The assignment requires that you have 3 years of well-documented work experience in teaching within the school system and experience teaching in an adapted school. Experience teaching in grades 4-9 is a merit. You are a confident and educational leader with the ability to provide low-key, respectful communication. We want you to be well familiar with and uphold the professional ethical principles for teachers. You can exercise situationally adapted learning and leadership based on putting yourself in students' situations and values and meeting them where they are. You build relationships both internally and externally characterized by respect and trust, and can engage, inspire, stimulate, and strengthen students toward development and learning. We want you to have good knowledge of and ability to work according to current governing documents, as well as good knowledge of alternative learning tools and the ability to integrate these into instruction. You have the ability to adapt work methods and approaches to different groups' and individuals' needs. Of course, you have the ability to use digital technology as a tool in your daily work. You are well familiar with current pedagogical and didactic research. You can systematically reflect on and evaluate work individually and with others to achieve development. Naturally, you can document with good quality and also have the ability to plan and prioritize your work time. To enable us to consider your application, you must attach your degree certificate and teaching credentials. If no qualified credentialed teachers are available, you as an uncredentialed person may be employed on a limited-term basis according to the Education Act.
