The hospital has a combined clinic that includes emergency care, medicine, geriatrics and rehabilitation. This provides excellent conditions for quick and efficient care, from emergency care to hospital wards and further to rehabilitation in the patient's home. The hospital has approximately 40 hospital beds distributed across an acute care ward, an internal medicine ward, and a ward for acute geriatrics, stroke and rehabilitation. The emergency department is open around the clock and treats approximately 20,000 patients per year. A large part of the operation is specialized outpatient care, where various clinics and investigations are offered, for example in cardiology (echocardiography, Holter monitoring, blood pressure measurements, TEE, stress tests), endocrinology, nephrology (including hemodialysis), gastroenterology (gastro- and colonoscopies), sleep medicine (nocturnal breathing recordings and polysomnography) and dementia investigations. Additionally, general internal medicine and geriatric assessment and treatment are offered, including bone marrow sampling, pleura and ascites aspiration, lumbar punctures and more. The clinic also provides extensive inpatient paramedical care as well as day and home rehabilitation. In total, we have 200 employees in various professional categories. We place great emphasis on education and our goal is to be Sweden's best junior doctor training program, which has contributed to us often being highly ranked for medical positions in the AT ranking. Job Responsibilities As a specialist in internal medicine, you will participate in the clinic's work in both inpatient and outpatient care. You will take responsibility for ward rounds on part of the ward with guidance of junior physicians, as well as manage your own outpatient clinic. Job tasks also include on-call duty. You will supervise AT, BT and/or ST physicians and thereby contribute to the positive training climate. The position is full-time, but there may be opportunities for part-time work. Qualifications Requirements: Swedish medical license and specialist competence in internal medicine and/or related relevant specialty Swedish language proficiency equivalent to at least C1 level Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities, suitability and responsibility.
