The Department of Children and Education works on behalf of the Preschool Board and Elementary School Board. The department is responsible for preschool activities, school childcare, elementary school, and adapted elementary school. Our most important mission is to give all children and students in Huddinge the opportunity to develop to their full potential in a secure educational environment. As a psychologist with us, you are one of 19 skilled psychologists working in Huddinge Municipality's preschools and elementary and secondary schools. You are centrally employed at the Section for Psychological Services for Preschool and School, but the work is conducted largely at the school units where you are the responsible psychologist. The work tasks are varied and you work in a health-promoting, preventive, and intervention-focused manner. With us, you work independently with the opportunity to have influence while also being offered substantial professional support. This takes the form of, for example, continuous professional meetings, access to materials and method documents, peer consultation, external consultation, and mentorship for newly hired staff. As a school psychologist, you participate in student health services work together with the principal and other professionals in the student health team. As part of the school's student health team, you are expected to: Contribute psychological expertise as a support in pedagogical work and in the overall planning of student health services. Contribute psychological knowledge about protective and risk factors for students' health, learning, and development, for example through training initiatives. Provide knowledge about neuropsychiatric and intellectual disabilities. Provide guidance and consultation to school staff. Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations of students to map and understand obstacles to learning. Participate in various types of conversations/consultations with students, guardians, and educators. Collaborate with other entities such as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Rehabilitation Centers for Children, and others. Contribute expertise and support in crisis management. Your Profile We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist with experience working with children and young people. We would like you to have assessment experience and experience conducting guidance, consultation, and training initiatives. As a person, you are secure, reliable, and social. You can work independently while also valuing collegial exchange. You have a good ability and interest in collaborating with other professions. You are relationship-building, trustworthy, and skilled at creating trusting relationships with students, guardians, and other staff. You contribute structure, problem analysis, and a holistic perspective. You take own initiative, are flexible, and communicate well both verbally and in writing.
