As a school counselor, you will be part of the student health team consisting of approximately 8 people, including counselors, psychologists, special education specialists, special education teachers, school nurses, and academic and career counselors. The School Administration's area of responsibility encompasses activities for children from one year of age through upper secondary education. The activities include school management, preschool, primary school including adapted primary school, upper secondary school including adapted upper secondary school, and arts school. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a school counselor, you are responsible for the psychosocial perspective within the student health team. You participate in and drive various types of health promotion and preventive work both independently and together with others on your team. This includes implementing initiatives in classrooms such as body safety programs and internet safety. Work as a school counselor involves working at the organizational, group, and individual levels. You will be part of the student health team at the middle school level at Södermalmsskolan and at Björneborgs skola. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is trained as a social worker or is currently pursuing such training. We would appreciate it if you have several years of experience working with children and young people. Previous experience working in social services or with any form of parental support is highly meritorious. We want you to have a health promotion and preventive focus with a clear child perspective. You work well collaboratively with others, both internally at the school and with relevant authorities. You are flexible, self-directed, and engaged in your work, and you have strong empathetic abilities. You easily build relationships and have strong ability to establish trust with both children and guardians. A valid driver's license is required. Employment Type: Permanent position.
