About the Operation We are now seeking nurses for the psychiatric emergency clinic and departments 90 and 95. County Adult Psychiatry Falun/Säter has a regional mandate within adult psychiatry and is responsible for the care and treatment of patients in acute psychiatric conditions. The operation is divided between Falun and Säter. In Säter, there is the region's only psychiatric emergency clinic as well as departments 90 and 95. In Falun, there is a substance abuse center, a general psychiatry inpatient ward, LARO, and ECT services. Department 90 in Säter serves patients with severe psychiatric conditions and a significant need for intensive care and observation, such as psychosis and manic episodes. Many patients are cared for under the Mental Health Care Act (LPT). The department has 10 beds and high staffing around the clock. Department 95 is a general psychiatry ward with 14 beds for patients with varying psychiatric diagnoses and comprehensive care needs. Patients are cared for under the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) or LPT. Nurses, care attendants, and physicians work together as a team with a focus on secure and person-centered care. The position includes day and evening shifts as well as on-call weekend duty - every other or every third weekend. Responsibilities Psychiatric Emergency Clinic As a nurse at the psychiatric emergency clinic, you will, among other things: • Assess patients' psychiatric conditions via telephone (Tele-Q) and during in-person visits • Work with prioritization using the RETTS triage system • Provide advice, support, and information regarding treatment options and strategies • Work closely with physicians and other healthcare personnel • Participate in evaluating the work performance of ST physicians and support AT physicians and other physicians in daily work • Collaborate with partner services such as Prehospital Emergency Care (PEA), ambulance, police, and other agencies You have a central role in the first patient encounter. Departments 90 and 95 As a nurse on our departments, you lead and organize the nursing care on the ward. You are responsible for rounds, conduct patient and family discussions, and collaborate with partner services. The role also includes participating in discharge planning as well as performing sample collection and medication management. You collaborate with care coordinators regarding specialist psychiatric care patients. On the departments, nurses, physicians, and care attendants work in close collaboration along with the treatment team (social worker, psychologist, occupational therapist). All patients are assigned contact persons for individual nursing care responsibility. On department 95, you work in care teams and team rounds. There is also support from a department coordinator during daytime. Qualifications We are looking for you who: • Are a licensed nurse (or will graduate soon) • Have an interest in psychiatric care, especially during acute periods • Are flexible, responsible, and want to develop in your professional role • Have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a team We also welcome newly graduated nurses with an interest in psychiatry - with us you will receive introduction and support in your new professional role.
